Electrostatic adhesion – fine powder agglomeration. Sugar particles are very fine – during screening, friction between particles generates static electricity. Charged fine particles attract each other to form agglomerates while adhering firmly to the screen surface – ordinary screens quickly become "clogged." The finer the sugar, the stronger the electrostatic effect, and the faster the blinding.
Frequent blinding – low efficiency. Powdered sugar is highly hygroscopic – it readily absorbs moisture from the air during storage and screening, forming hard lumps of varying sizes. The combination of electrostatic adhesion and moisture‑induced lumps makes screen blinding a constant problem – frequent stoppages for cleaning severely reduce throughput.
Dust emission – loss and contamination. Powdered sugar is light and fine – on traditional open or semi‑enclosed screening equipment, it readily escapes from equipment gaps into the workshop air. This not only causes raw material loss but also contaminates the workshop environment and poses potential health risks to operators.
The design philosophy of Gaofu's QLSP series centrifugal sifter is to fundamentally abandon traditional vibration modes and adopt an aerodynamic design. It no longer relies on mechanical vibration to make material "bounce" through the screen – instead, it allows sugar powder to be screened within an airflow.
The working process can be broken down into three key steps:
Step 1: Screw conveying – airflow mixing and atomisation. After material enters the equipment through the screw conveying system, it is thoroughly mixed and atomised with high‑speed airflow. Sugar powder particles are dispersed by the airflow – agglomerated fines are broken down into individual particles suspended in the airflow.
Step 2: Centrifugal propulsion – dual forces driving particles through the screen. The dispersed individual particles enter the cylindrical screen drum with the airflow. Through the rotation of the rotor blades inside the drum, the material is subjected to the dual action of centrifugal force and propelling force. Driven by these two forces, powder particles are propelled through the screen. Qualified fine powder is discharged from the fines outlet, while oversize material travels along the screen wall and is automatically discharged from the oversize outlet.
Step 3: Continuous airflow scouring – automatic screen cleaning for sustained permeability. During screening, the airflow continuously scours the screen surface – achieving automatic screen cleaning. Fine particles cannot accumulate on the screen surface – the screen remains fully permeable, eliminating the need for frequent stoppages.
In simple terms: sugar powder no longer "squeezes" through the screen as agglomerates – it is thoroughly dispersed in the airflow and passes through as individual particles "floating" with the airflow. This technical approach fundamentally solves the problems of electrostatic agglomeration and blinding.

1. Electrostatic agglomeration → airflow dispersion, preventing agglomeration at the source
Sugar powder entering the sifter is first thoroughly mixed and atomised with high‑speed airflow. Under the strong impact of the airflow, existing agglomerates are rapidly broken apart, and individual particles become suspended in the airflow. This process is completed before the material even contacts the screen – fundamentally preventing agglomerates from entering the screening zone.
2. Adhesion and blinding → cyclone scouring, automatic screen cleaning
The screen is continuously scoured by the rotating airflow, achieving automatic self‑cleaning. Material remains suspended in the airflow and cannot accumulate on the screen surface. Fine particles cannot adhere to the screen – blinding is fundamentally eliminated.
3. Ultra‑fine powder difficult to pass → centrifugal propulsion, forced passage
For ultra‑fine sugar above 200 mesh, conventional screening equipment often falls short. The QLSP series uses the dual action of centrifugal force and propelling force to "propel" powder particles through the screen. Sugar particles no longer "wait" to pass through – they are "actively" driven through the mesh, achieving passage rates of over 95%.
4. Wide screening fineness coverage – significantly increased throughput
Screen mesh covers 5‑500 mesh. Whether for commercial sugar conventional screening or ultra‑fine baking sugar fine grading, suitable configurations are available. Screening efficiency is 5‑10 times that of conventional vibrating screens. For sugar processors, this means significantly more qualified finished product in the same amount of time.
