Fine particles cause frequent blinding. Spices contain a high proportion of fines, which tend to block the screen mesh during screening, causing screening efficiency to decline steadily and frequent stoppages for cleaning to become the norm. This not only reduces throughput but also increases labour costs.
Lumps are difficult to break, affecting finished product quality. Powdered seasonings tend to absorb moisture and form lumps during storage. Conventional screening cannot effectively break these lumps, leading to uneven mixing and directly affecting the consistency of the final product's taste.
Insufficient grading accuracy – finished product fineness fails to meet standards. Different spice types and applications have different particle size requirements. If screening equipment lacks grading accuracy, off‑spec particles may contaminate the finished product, affecting dissolution rate and flavour release.

Gaofu's S49 series multi‑deck spice rotary vibrating sieve (also called a three‑dimensional vibrating screen) uses a vertical vibration motor as the excitation source. Eccentric weights installed at the top and bottom of the motor convert rotary motion into a three‑dimensional compound motion (horizontal, vertical, and inclined), which is transmitted to the screen surface. Material moves on the screen surface in a spiral outward trajectory. By adjusting the phase angle of the upper and lower eccentric weights, the material's movement trajectory and residence time on the screen can be flexibly changed to suit different spice materials such as Sichuan pepper powder and cumin powder.
Material enters through the central feed port and, under the three‑dimensional vibration force, spreads outward on the screen surface in a spiral path. Fine powder and on‑spec spice particles pass through the screen into the lower hopper, while coarse particles, lumps, and foreign matter are discharged along the screen surface from the reject outlet – achieving raw material de‑dusting and finished product grading in one step.
The equipment supports flexible configurations of 1 to 5 screen decks , enabling a single machine to complete 2 to 6 grades of separation or filtration simultaneously. For Sichuan pepper and cumin powder screening, the upper deck intercepts lumps and coarse particles, the middle decks achieve fine grading, and the lower deck acts as a safety screen to ensure finished product purity – one feed completes multiple steps.

Gaofu's rotary vibrating sieve achieves screening accuracy up to 600 mesh (0.02 mm) and filtration precision down to 5 microns. Screening accuracy reaches 99.56%. For typical spice screening requirements (usually 20‑120 mesh), this accuracy capability provides ample margin, ensuring consistent finished product fineness.
3. Overcoming blinding – ensuring continuous production
To address the common problem of fine spice powder blinding, Gaofu's multi‑deck spice rotary vibrating sieve incorporates several targeted optimisations:
Bouncing ball cleaning system: Bouncing balls installed below the screen continuously strike the screen surface through vibration, enabling smooth material passage and effectively solving blinding.
Ultrasonic cleaning system (optional): For ultra‑fine powders or electrostatic materials, an ultrasonic cleaning system can be optionally added – high‑frequency vibration keeps fine powder in a "suspended" state on the screen surface, effectively inhibiting adhesion and blinding.
Anti‑blinding structural design: The screen tensioning structure ensures a flat screen surface, minimising material accumulation dead zones and reducing blinding from the design perspective.
4. Flexible de‑agglomeration device – resolving lumping
