304/316L food‑grade stainless steel is a mandatory requirement. All parts that contact materials must be made of food‑grade stainless steel, typically 304 or 316L grade, with surface finish meeting easy‑to‑clean and residue‑free standards. For nutrient‑rich, microorganism‑prone materials like whey protein, 316L stainless steel – with its added molybdenum content offering superior resistance to chloride ions – is the preferred choice.
Surface finish is non‑negotiable. Equipment surfaces should be finely polished to a surface roughness of Ra≤0.8μm. Smooth surfaces resist material adhesion, reducing residue and bacterial growth, and are easy to clean thoroughly. All corners should use rounded transitions – eliminating dead corners.
Traceable materials. All stainless steel materials should be supplied with traceable material certificates, ensuring compliance and reliable quality from the source.
