The core working principle of the feed linear vibrating screen (also called a linear vibrating screen) is based on dual vibrating motors operating in synchronised opposite directions.
During operation, the two vibrating motors mounted longitudinally on the screen body run in synchronised, opposite directions. The excitation forces generated by the eccentric blocks of the two motors cancel each other out in the direction parallel to the motor axis, and superimpose into a single resultant force in the direction perpendicular to the motor axis – this resultant force causes the screen machine to generate stable linear reciprocating vibration. Under the combined action of excitation force and gravity, material is thrown up on the screen surface and moves forward in a straight line in a bouncing motion.
Particles smaller than the screen openings pass through to the lower layer, while oversize material travels along the screen surface to the outlet. With proper multi‑deck screen configurations, a single machine can simultaneously produce multiple particle size fractions – completing everything from coarse impurity removal to fine grading.
This working principle gives the feed linear vibrating screen unique advantages in high‑throughput material processing:
Material moves in a straight line on the screen surface, providing a long screening path and high screen utilisation. The bouncing forward motion causes the material bed to be continuously turned, loosened, and stratified – impurities and fines have ample opportunity to pass through the screen. Material flows smoothly in a straight line without accumulation – throughput far exceeds that of ordinary circular screens. The linear screen can simultaneously obtain several different particle size fractions, completing multi‑stage grading in a single pass.
The feed linear vibrating screen mainly consists of the following core components:
Screen box: The main frame of the equipment, carrying all working components – constructed of reinforced steel structure, providing a stable working platform.
Screen frame and screen mesh: The core components that perform the screening operation.
