Bulk raw material pre‑treatment on salt production lines faces challenges far beyond simply "breaking up large lumps":


Throughput must keep up with production line rhythm. Modern salt plants process hundreds of tonnes or more per day. If the crushing equipment's capacity cannot keep up, upstream crystallisation and drying processes will experience material accumulation, while downstream washing and screening processes will idle. For salt plants pursuing large‑scale, continuous production, the capacity of the crushing stage directly determines the upper limit of the entire production line.


Over‑grinding directly affects profitability. Traditional hammer crushers rely on high‑speed impact for crushing – the impact force is uncontrollable, causing a significant proportion of salt particles to be over‑crushed into fines. These fines cannot be sold as合格 product and add burden to downstream screening and dust collection systems. For salt plants, every tonne of salt reduced to powder represents direct economic loss.


Salt material corrosion and adhesion. Salt is highly hygroscopic and moderately corrosive. Wet salt readily adheres to equipment surfaces during crushing, causing blockage and downtime. Ordinary carbon steel equipment rusts extremely quickly in salt environments – not only shortening equipment life but also contaminating the product with rust particles, directly affecting product quality and food safety.


  • The Technical Secret to High Capacity: Integrated Screening‑Crushing + Compression Crushing

The high throughput capability of Gaofu's high‑capacity salt crusher comes from the synergy of two core technical designs:


Integrated "screening + crushing" releases effective capacity. In traditional crushing processes, all material – regardless of size – enters the crushing chamber, causing large already‑qualified material to be repeatedly ground, wasting capacity. Gaofu's salt crusher features an integrated "screening‑crushing" design – material entering the machine first passes through a pre‑screening area where qualified fines are separated and discharged directly; the remaining coarse material falls between the two rollers for crushing; crushed material then falls back to the screening area – material meeting the particle size requirement is quickly discharged, while material not meeting the requirement returns to the crushing zone for further processing.


This design achieves simultaneous "screening‑while‑crushing" operation. Qualified material is discharged promptly, freeing up effective capacity in the crushing zone and avoiding the wasted effort of "repeatedly crushing qualified material." This fundamentally achieves the precise control of "crushing the large, leaving the small."


Double‑roller compression + shearing – gentle and efficient crushing. Two motors drive two sets of crushing rollers in counter‑rotating motion. Material enters the V‑shaped crushing chamber between the two rollers from the top feed opening. Through the friction and compression force of the roller surfaces, material is drawn into the crushing chamber and subjected to continuous high‑pressure compression and shearing action. Unlike the "impact" method of traditional hammer crushers, Gaofu's salt crusher uses a combined "squeeze + split" crushing force – material undergoes controlled fracturing between the rollers, rather than uncontrollable impact. Discharge particle size is uniform, and the over‑grinding rate can be effectively controlled at low levels.
