  • Probability Grading: Replacing "Particle‑by‑Particle Screening" with "High Probability Passage"

Conventional vibrating screens operate on the logic of "particle‑by‑particle screening" – every salt particle must bounce repeatedly on the screen surface until it finds a suitable mesh opening. When the material bed is thick and throughput is high, material congestion occurs on the screen surface, fine particles are buried under the layer and struggle to pass through, and screening efficiency drops.


The probability screen uses a fundamentally different logic. Probability screening theory states that: the residence time of particles on the screen surface is inversely proportional to their particle size – fine particles pass through the screen quickly, while particles close to the mesh size have extended residence time. The probability screen actively leverages this principle, allowing fine particles to "pass quickly" and coarse particles to "discharge rapidly," completing screening in an extremely short time.


The advantage of this principle in practice is: the screening time required for material is only 1/3 to 1/20 of that of conventional vibrating screens, and the processing capacity per unit screen area is 5 to 10 times that of conventional vibrating screens. For salt production lines requiring large‑volume continuous screening, this means the same equipment footprint can yield several times the output of traditional equipment.


  • Large Throughput: A Single Machine Matches Full Line Capacity

In screening materials such as manufactured sand and natural sand, Gaofu's GLS series probability screen achieves 3‑6 times the throughput of conventional screens, with single‑machine hourly output reaching 10‑300 tonnes. For salt material grading, production capacity covers 15‑500 tonnes/hour.


This processing capacity is achieved through the following design features:


High‑inclination screen surface for rapid material passage. The probability screen's screen inclination is far greater than conventional screens (typically 15° to 30°), giving material high initial velocity at the feed end – the material bed rapidly thins and moves forward quickly. Salt particles move rapidly across the screen surface like "riding a slide" – fine particles have sufficient opportunity to pass through quickly, while coarse particles are discharged rapidly without accumulating on the screen surface.


Large‑aperture screen mesh effectively reduces blinding. The screen aperture is designed at 1.2 to 2.2 times the separation particle size. Because the mesh openings are larger than the target particles, particles are less likely to become wedged – greatly reducing blinding probability. Combined with high‑frequency low‑amplitude vibration and self‑cleaning screen surfaces, this effectively alleviates wedging caused by irregular salt crystal shapes.


Multi‑deck grading – multiple specifications from one feed. The equipment is configured with 2 to 5 screen decks , with screening mesh covering 5 mm down to 0.075 mm (200 mesh) . Coarse salt, medium salt, fine salt, and ultra‑fine salt powder are produced simultaneously in one feed – no need for multiple screening passes or machines in series.


  • Industrial Salt and Edible Salt – One Machine for Both Applications

Industrial salt screening – large throughput, continuous and stable. Industrial salt production typically operates in large‑volume continuous mode, demanding high processing capacity and operational stability from screening equipment. The probability screen's large single‑machine throughput enables it to match the capacity rhythm of industrial salt production lines. The equipment features a fully enclosed box structure with a dust extraction port on the top – effectively controlling salt dust emission during screening.


Edible salt screening – precise grading, hygienic and reliable. Edible salt has strict requirements for particle size uniformity and product purity. The probability screen's multi‑deck grading design precisely separates salt particles into different specifications – coarse salt (8‑20 mesh) for curing and fermentation, medium salt (20‑40 mesh) for everyday cooking, fine salt (40‑80 mesh) for seasoning production and baking. Material between decks does not mix, effectively eliminating size mixing and cross‑contamination.


  • Durability and Maintenance – Withstanding Salt Corrosion

Salt (sodium chloride) is corrosive to metals in humid environments. Gaofu's GLS series salt probability screen incorporates multiple targeted design features for durability:


Arched screen surface design extends screen life. The arched screen surface disperses impact forces by changing the material impact point angle. The external ratchet tensioning device allows operators to easily adjust screen tension from the outside, ensuring the screen remains flat at all times. Under normal operating conditions, continuous screen service life can be maintained for over 60 days.


Fully enclosed structure reduces dust and corrosion. The equipment features a fully enclosed box structure with good sealing – reducing salt dust corrosion on external equipment structures and preventing salt dust from entering bearings and other precision components, accelerating wear.


Integrated transport and installation for easy maintenance. The equipment is transported and installed as an integrated unit – only amplitude adjustment is required on site according to site conditions. Front and rear discharge ports use detachable design, making screen replacement relatively simple.
