Over 10,000+ customers' choice, Focus on screening industry 40+ years
In the seasoning processing industry, whether it is chilli powder, Sichuan pepper powder, five‑spice powder, cumin powder, curry powder or pepper powder, the fineness uniformity and purity of the finished product directly determine the taste, flavour release and market competitiveness of the product. However, spice screening is not simply a "pass‑through‑the‑screen" operation.
Spice powder screening faces three overlapping challenges.
First challenge: Wide particle size range, high classification requirements. Composite seasonings are made by mixing powders of different raw materials and different fineness levels. Chilli powder requires a fineness above 80 mesh, Sichuan pepper powder needs above 100 mesh, while certain coarse spice products only need to pass through 10 to 40 mesh. From coarse powder to ultra‑fine powder, the wide range requires screening equipment with flexible multi‑stage classification capability.
Second challenge: Easy caking and screen blinding. Spices often contain volatile oils and fibrous components. Materials with high oil content (such as Sichuan pepper powder and chilli powder) tend to adhere to the screen during screening; materials with high fibre content (such as cumin powder and star anise powder) tend to wrap around the mesh openings. After ordinary screening equipment runs for several hours, screening efficiency drops noticeably, requiring frequent stoppages for cleaning.
Third challenge: Strict hygiene standards and high material requirements. Seasonings are widely used in food processing and home cooking, so production equipment must meet extremely high hygiene standards. Equipment materials must comply with food contact material standards, structures must have no dead corners and be easy to clean, to prevent cross‑contamination.
Multi‑stage classification, precise impurity removal and continuous operation – these three requirements combined place comprehensive demands on spice screening equipment. The Gaofu S49 series multi‑deck seasoning rotary vibrating sieve is a professional machine designed specifically to meet these needs.
The Gaofu S49 series seasoning rotary vibrating sieve operates on the three‑dimensional gyratory motion principle. The equipment uses a vertical vibration motor as the excitation source, with eccentric weights installed at the upper and lower ends of the motor shaft converting the rotational motion into horizontal, vertical and tilting three‑dimensional motion, which is then transmitted to the screen deck. By adjusting the phase angle of the upper and lower weights, the motion trajectory of the material on the screen surface can be changed.
The value of this technical principle for spice screening lies in three aspects:
First, thorough material loosening and natural breaking of lumps. Spice powders move in a spiral outward trajectory on the screen surface. Oily materials do not easily form adhesive layers locally during continuous tumbling; fibrous materials do not concentrate and wrap in any single area.
Second, extended screening path and high accuracy. The material travels along a spiral trajectory, giving every particle multiple opportunities to contact the screen. The equipment can achieve screening fineness up to 600 mesh (0.02 mm) and filtration precision down to 5 microns. From coarse impurity removal to ultra‑fine classification, a single machine covers the full range of requirements.
Third, flexible classification screening. The equipment can be configured with 1 to 5 screen decks , enabling simultaneous separation into 2 to 6 grades. One material enters, and multiple specification products are produced simultaneously.
Spice products often require more than one particle size grade. Chilli powder requires a fineness above 80 mesh, Sichuan pepper powder needs above 100 mesh, while coarse spices only need to pass through 10 to 40 mesh. Different product categories and end‑use applications have different fineness requirements.
The multi‑deck design of the Gaofu S49 series rotary vibrating sieve allows a single machine to meet the classification needs of different grades of spices. Taking a typical three‑deck configuration as an example:
First deck (coarser mesh): Intercepts insufficiently ground large particles, fibre impurities and foreign matter that may be introduced during processing. Oversize material is discharged from the top outlet and can be returned to the grinding stage for reprocessing.
Second deck (target mesh): Collects the acceptable‑size finished spice powder. Depending on the product type, this deck can be configured with 80 to 200 mesh or even higher to ensure finished fineness meets standards.
Third deck (finer mesh): Separates ultra‑fine powder. Ultra‑fine powder is discharged from the bottom outlet and can be used for high‑value‑added products.
One machine, one feed – simultaneously completes the three steps of coarse impurity removal, target classification and fine powder separation. For manufacturers that need to produce different grades of spices, the multi‑deck design greatly reduces equipment investment and process transfer time.

Advantage 1: Efficient Impurity Removal and Precise Classification
The equipment can flexibly adjust vibration parameters according to the characteristics of different materials – Sichuan pepper, star anise, pepper powder, chicken powder, composite seasoning powders – achieving classification from coarse to fine screening and ensuring highly uniform finished specifications. At the same time, the unique screening motion effectively separates foreign matter, improving product cleanliness.
Raw material impurity removal: Effectively removes fibres, lumps, foreign matter and impurities from spices, ensuring smooth operation of subsequent processing steps.
Finished product classification: Multi‑deck screens can be configured to complete coarse, medium and fine classification in a single pass, ensuring uniform finished particle size and meeting the production requirements of different seasoning categories.
Advantage 2: Solving the Screen Blinding Problem for Continuous Production
Seasoning powders have a high proportion of fine particles, making them prone to blinding the screen during screening and causing frequent stoppages for cleaning. The Gaofu seasoning rotary vibrating sieve incorporates multiple optimisations to address this industry pain point:
Efficient screen cleaning devices. The equipment can be equipped with a bouncing ball cleaning system or an ultrasonic system , which continuously acts on the screen during screening, effectively inhibiting fine powder adhesion and blinding, and maintaining screen permeability.
Anti‑blinding structural design. The screen tensioning structure is designed to keep the screen surface flat, reducing material accumulation dead corners and structurally reducing the probability of blinding.
Automatic discharge of impurities. Impurities and oversize material are automatically discharged, enabling continuous operation. The equipment can run 24 hours continuously without frequent stoppages for cleaning.
Advantage 3: Food‑Grade Standards – Safeguarding Food Safety
Seasonings are widely used in food processing, so production equipment must meet extremely high hygiene standards. The Gaofu seasoning rotary vibrating sieve incorporates food safety considerations in both material selection and structural design:
High‑quality stainless steel. Material‑contact parts are made of 304 stainless steel as standard, with 316L stainless steel available upon request, and surfaces are finely polished to meet hygiene requirements.
Fully enclosed structure. The equipment has a fully enclosed design, effectively preventing dust escape during screening, avoiding cross‑contamination, and improving the workshop environment.
Dead‑corner‑free design. The simple structure has no hygiene dead corners and supports rapid disassembly for cleaning, meeting food‑grade production hygiene requirements and reducing cross‑contamination between batches.
Quick screen changes. Screen changes take only 3 to 5 minutes. When switching between different spice varieties, screen changes are convenient and efficient, greatly reducing downtime.
Advantage 4: Stable and Reliable – Suited to Large‑Scale Production
Modern seasoning production lines place strict demands on equipment stability. With decades of technical expertise, Gaofu Machinery has continuously optimised equipment reliability:
Reinforced structure. The whole machine features a reinforced frame design with high load‑bearing capacity, supporting long‑term continuous operation and effectively reducing downtime for maintenance.
Smooth operation. Optimised vibration damping design results in low operating noise and reasonable energy consumption, reducing long‑term operating costs for enterprises.
The equipment has a normal service life of 15 to 20 years , offering a significant long‑term return on investment.
Advantage 5: 360° Adjustable Discharge Ports – Flexible Line Integration
The discharge ports of the rotary vibrating sieve can be rotated 360° around the axis, facilitating the arrangement of auxiliary equipment. Regardless of workshop layout, it can flexibly connect to upstream and downstream equipment, adapting to the installation requirements of different production lines.
