The working principle of the centrifugal sifter is fundamentally different from that of traditional vibrating screens.
Traditional vibrating screens rely on gravity and mechanical vibration to move material across the screen surface. But for light, electrostatic materials like mustard powder, fine particles easily adhere to the screen surface and block the openings. Screening efficiency declines over time, eventually forcing a shutdown for cleaning.
The centrifugal sifter takes a completely different technical path – using air as the carrier and kinetic energy as the driving force. After passing through a screw conveying system, the material is mixed and atomised with airflow before entering a cylindrical screen drum. Inside the drum, rotor blades subject the material to both centrifugal force and propelling force, forcing it to pass through the screen. Fine particles that pass through are discharged from the fines outlet, while oversize material that cannot pass travels along the screen wall and is discharged from the oversize outlet.
The core of this technical approach lies in this: mustard powder no longer "squeezes" through the screen as agglomerates, but "floats" through as individual particles. The characteristics of the powder – light weight, easy floating, and good flowability – are fully utilised. The material is thoroughly dispersed in the airflow, breaking down agglomerates, so that individual particles pass through the screen sequentially with the airflow.

This "screen‑while‑cleaning" design keeps the screen fully open at all times, eliminating the need for frequent manual cleaning stoppages.
3. Light bulk density → Air conveying + precise grading
Mustard powder is light, with slow particle settling and unstable motion on ordinary vibrating screens. The centrifugal sifter uses airflow as the carrier – material is conveyed and screened within a closed airflow channel, with controllable and stable movement trajectories. Screening accuracy is higher, product fineness is precise, and there is no over‑size or mis‑grading.
