Over 10,000+ customers' choice, Focus on screening industry 40+ years
Disconnection point 1: Transfer loss between feeding and screening. In the traditional model, after spice raw materials are fed from ton bags or small bags, they must be transferred – manually or mechanically – to the screening equipment. Each transfer brings dust dispersion and material exposure. Fine powders such as chilli powder and Sichuan pepper powder are particularly prone to drifting during transfer, causing both material loss and workshop contamination.
Disconnection point 2: Waiting time between screening and conveying. After screening, the acceptable material must wait for the conveying system to take it to the next process. If the screening speed does not match the conveying speed, either the screened material accumulates in the buffer hopper or the conveying system runs idle. This mismatch in rhythm directly reduces the overall efficiency of the production line.
Disconnection point 3: Information silos between steps. In the traditional model, data such as feed volume, screening efficiency and conveying speed are scattered across different equipment and operators, with no unified monitoring or management. Production managers cannot see the real‑time status of material flow from feeding to conveying. By the time a problem is detected, losses have often already occurred.
These three disconnection points, combined, make it difficult for spice processing lines to maintain stable and efficient operation during large‑scale production.
The design logic of the Gaofu spice feeding system is not simply to put three machines together. Rather, it rethinks the entire "feeding – screening – conveying" process from a system perspective.
System composition. The Gaofu spice feeding system consists of a feeding platform, a dust control unit, a vacuum system, an in‑line screening module, a pneumatic conveying device and an intelligent control platform. Each unit is seamlessly connected through enclosed pipelines and signal interlocking. From the moment material enters the system until it reaches the downstream receiving equipment, the entire process runs in a closed environment without manual intervention.
Feeding module – controlling dust at the source. The front end of the system is equipped with a dust‑free feeding station or a ton bag feeding station, selectable according to the raw material packaging form. Spice raw materials enter a fully enclosed process at the feeding stage. Small to medium bags are opened and fed through the dust‑free feeding station; ton bags are hoisted and opened through the ton bag feeding station. Dust generated during feeding is collected in real time by the dust collection system, meeting food hygiene standards while keeping the production environment clean. The Gaofu ton bag feeding station uses a fully enclosed design combined with a high‑efficiency dust collection system to effectively prevent dust escape at the moment of unpacking.
Screening module – in‑line impurity removal and classification. After feeding, the spice raw materials enter the in‑line screening module directly, without intermediate transfer. The built‑in linear vibrating screen or rotary vibrating screen screens the material instantly – foreign matter and lumps larger than the mesh openings are intercepted and discharged, while acceptable material continues to the next stage. The Gaofu linear vibrating screen uses two synchronously counter‑rotating vibration motors. Material moves forward on the screen surface in a parabolic jumping motion, quickly becoming loose, stratified and passing through the screen. This design turns "screening" from a separate step into a built‑in part of the feeding flow. Material is classified as it moves, requiring no additional floor space or transfer time.
Conveying module – continuous feeding through enclosed pipelines. After screening, the acceptable material is sent through a pneumatic conveying system along enclosed pipelines to downstream equipment – whether a mixer, a packing machine or a buffer hopper. Gaofu pneumatic conveying uses positive/negative pressure vacuum conveying technology. The inner walls of the pipelines are mirror‑polished, with no hygiene dead corners, minimising material residue. The system supports horizontal conveying distances of 8 to 40 metres and vertical lifts of up to 15 metres, with pipeline routing flexibly configured according to workshop layout.
When feeding, screening and conveying change from a "three‑stage" to an "integrated" approach, the operation of a spice processing line undergoes three fundamental changes.
1. From "dust everywhere" to "enclosed and dust‑free". In the traditional model, material is exposed to the air multiple times during feeding, transfer and screening. The integrated system places all steps inside enclosed pipelines and sealed equipment. Spices run from feeding to conveying without contacting the external environment. The negative pressure dust collection system of the dust‑free feeding station keeps dust concentration at the feed port low, while the enclosed pipelines of the pneumatic conveying system prevent dust escape during conveying. For spices such as chilli powder and Sichuan pepper powder, which generate irritating dust, this change not only improves the workshop environment but also provides substantial protection for operator health.
2. From "manual coordination" to "automatic synchronisation". In the traditional model, coordination between steps relies on manual judgment and operation – workers decide when to feed, when to start screening and when to start conveying based on experience. The integrated system uses PLC intelligent control to achieve automatic synchronisation between modules. The built‑in intelligent coordination control module automatically adjusts the feeding speed according to the production process timing, achieving continuous "feeding – screening – conveying" operation. One system can replace the feeding workload of 3‑5 people, with automated feeding efficiency 3‑5 times that of manual operation.
3. From "data blind spots" to "full visibility". In the traditional model, data such as feed volume, screening efficiency and conveying speed are scattered across different steps, and managers cannot see the overall picture in real time. The Gaofu spice feeding system is equipped with an intelligent central control platform that monitors operational data from each step in real time – raw material remaining, feeding speed, metering data, equipment status, and more – all displayed clearly. The system can be integrated with an MES (manufacturing execution system) to achieve traceability from raw material to finished product. Production managers can monitor material usage at any time, providing accurate data support for production decisions.
The unique characteristics of spice materials – fine particle size, strong adhesion, tendency to cake, and high cleanliness requirements – place demands on every part of the feeding system that are higher than those for ordinary powders. The Gaofu spice feeding system incorporates the following specialised design features:
Material integrity. All parts of the system that come into direct contact with spices – feed hoppers, pipelines, screens, storage bins – are made of 304 food‑grade stainless steel, with mirror‑polished surfaces and no hygiene dead corners. For applications requiring even higher cleanliness, 316L stainless steel is also available. Seals are made of food‑grade silicone, ensuring that the entire process does not contact any non‑food‑grade materials.
Anti‑blocking design. To address the tendency of spice powders to cake and adhere, the system incorporates a vibratory padder at the feeding stage to assist discharge, bouncing ball or ultrasonic anti‑blocking systems at the screening stage, and smooth‑bore pipelines with appropriate air velocity at the conveying stage – reducing the risk of material blockage at multiple levels.
Flexible configuration. Different spice producers have different line capacities, material types and process requirements. The Gaofu spice feeding system supports modular customisation – feeding options include small‑bag feeding stations or ton bag feeding stations, screening equipment can be linear vibrating screens or rotary vibrating screens, conveying can be negative pressure vacuum conveying or positive pressure dense‑phase conveying, and control can be local or remote. The system can also integrate weighing and batching modules and other functional expansions according to customer requirements.
The integrated approach to spice feeding essentially answers one question: can feeding, screening and conveying be designed and operated as a single whole?
The Gaofu Machinery spice feeding system answers yes. It combines three separate steps into a coherent system – material enters at the feed port, is screened in an enclosed environment, and is delivered through pipelines to the destination – all without exposure, transfer or manual intervention. When dust is contained inside the equipment rather than spreading through the workshop, when screening is completed during material flow rather than occupying a separate area, and when the feeding speed automatically matches downstream demand rather than fluctuating – these improvements, added together, represent the real value that an integrated feeding system brings to spice processors.
