A vacuum pump continuously removes air, creating a negative pressure state inside the conveying system, lower than the outside atmosphere. Under the action of external atmospheric pressure, salt particles – together with a small amount of air – are drawn into the suction nozzle and travel through the sealed pipeline to the vacuum hopper.
