Quartz Sand

Screening Purpose

One is coarse screening classification, and the other is fine screening multi-layer classification.

Quartz sand grading process

First, the stone is initially crushed in the primary crusher. The resulting coarse material is then conveyed by a belt conveyor to the fine crusher for further crushing. The finely crushed stone then enters a vibrating screen to separate two types of stone. The stone that meets the feed size of the sand making machine is fed into the sand making machine for machine-made sand, while the remaining material is returned to the fine crusher. Some of the stone entering the sand making machine is made into sand, which is then cleaned in the sand washing machine to become finished sand. The remaining portion is then fed into the sand making machine for further crushing.

This production line features a high degree of automation, low operating costs, a high crushing rate, energy savings, high output, low pollution, and easy maintenance. The manufactured sand produced meets national standards and features a uniform particle size and excellent shape.

Effective analysis of customer needs

1. Quartz sand is graded in multiple layers, with different particle sizes serving different purposes. It can screen any dry material with a moisture content of less than 7% and non-sticky materials. The finished coarse material generally has mesh sizes of 4, 8, 16, 30, 50, 80, 100, and 140. Screening accuracy is >90%, requiring uniform particle size within the same specification, free of large particles and fine powder.

2. Currently, due to efficiency issues with sand making machines in quartz slab production lines, a 100-ton-per-hour sand making machine only produces 20-30% of finished product. This requires a high-capacity probability screen, which is 3-5 times the capacity of a typical vibrating screen.
