If these impurities are not removed through screening, they can enter the formulation and cause serious safety issues.

Controlling "critical particle size": Some pharmaceutical powders have strict particle size requirements. The presence of extremely coarse particles can cause irritation at the administration site. Coarse screening (particle size > 100 μm, such as for removing impurities from raw materials): A rotary vibrating screen with a lower mesh size (e.g., 20-80 mesh) can be used.

Fine screening (particle size < 100 μm, such as for grading powders for pharmaceutical preparations): A high-precision vibrating screen (such as an ultrasonic vibrating screen, to prevent fine powder from agglomerating and clogging the screen) is required.
